Registration

In-Person Delegations:
  • Delegations registering for the in-person format will have the option to switch their registration status to virtual, if necessary, up until the late registration deadline (December 10, 2021). A refund for the difference between in-person and virtual fees will be provided.
  • Delegations that drop out after the late registration deadline may be eligible for a partial refund, depending on the circumstances listed below:
    • If COVID conditions cause Trinity University (our conference site) to close their facilities to us at any point leading up to the conference, the entire conference will go virtual. Schools will receive a refund for the difference between in-person and virtual fees to reflect the change to a virtual conference.
    • If a delegation chooses to drop out after the late registration deadline (December 10, 2021), only a partial (half) refund will be provided to defray expenses spent on food and to cover the loss of participants who would otherwise have been able to attend in an in-person setting.

Virtual Delegations:
  • There will be no refunds given for schools or students who drop out after the late registration deadline (December 10, 2021).
MUNSA XXVI registration for both in-person and virtual conference options open in mid to late October, and will close on December 5, 2021. Participants are encouraged to register during the initial registration period, but there will be an additional late registration period from December 5 to December 10. Note that those who register during the late registration period will be charged an additional $10 to the original delegate fee.
In-Person:
  • School Fee (covers attendance of 2 sponsors): $70
  • Sponsor Fee (homeschoolers): $50
  • Delegate Fee: $55
  • Note: Additional sponsors is not an option for the in-person conference, and homeschooled delegates do not pay a school fee

Virtual:
  • School Fee (covers attendance of 2 sponsors): $55
  • Delegate Fee: $30
  • Homeschooled Delegate Fee: $35
  • Additional Sponsors: $15 each
  • Note: Homeschooled delegates do not pay a school fee

JMUN: (Only Virtual)
  • Normal Delegate Fee: $20
  • Homeschooler Fee: $25
  • School Fee (covers attendance of one sponsor): $20
  • Additional Sponsors: $15 each

T-Shirts:
  • Cost per shirt: $15
We are aware that all students come from different economic backgrounds, and the MUNSA XXVI Secretariat wants to make sure that financial barriers are not a limiting factor for those wishing to participate in MUNSA XXVI. For this reason, we are offering a MUNSA XXVI scholarship that will be available and accessible through the MUNSA website until a date in November that is to be decided. Not all students who apply will receive the scholarship, but we encourage students to apply if they may be struggling to pay the conference fees.

The MUNSA secretariat is still planning on having a hybrid conference, meaning schools will have the option to attend in-person or virtually. Availability for In-Person is limited, and positions will be filled on a first come, first served basis. In-person spots are officially reserved as soon as a school has completed registration and payment is received in full. A waitlist will be created if demand for in-person spots exceeds availability.
Although schools can register and pay beginning on October 7th, we will not begin assigning countries until two weeks after the start of registration. This delay in country/delegate assignments will allow us time to organize virtual and in-person committees to best fit the needs of schools and delegates.
Our middle school Model United Nations program, Jr. MUNSA, will be taking place entirely online. The cost per school is $20, and participating middle schools must send a minimum of 1 sponsor. The cost per delegate is $20. Schools interested in Jr. MUNSA should contact us at munsaisa@gmail.com to be added to our Jr. MUNSA mailing list for further information and updates.
Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we will not be providing hotel accommodations, nor will we provide transportation to and from the conference. This year, all schools will need to arrange any necessary transportation & hotel accommodations they may need. Here is a link to view hotels near Trinity University, for ease of reference.
The overall timings for the conference are listed below.

January 6th, 2022 (Thursday):
  • 9:30 - 10:35 AM → Opening Ceremony
  • 5 PM → End of Day 1 Sessions
  • 8:00 - 10:00 PM → MUNSA Festival

January 7th, 2022 (Friday):
  • 9:30 AM → Start of MUNSA
  • 3:45 PM → End of Day 2 Sessions
  • 4:00 - 6:45 PM → Dinner + Guest Speakers
  • 7:00 - 8:00 PM → Closing Ceremonies
